FINAL REFLECTION


  • What have I learnt in this module? : I learnt the importance of applying the rules of design principles when creating an artwork.

  • What did I enjoy the most? : The thing I enjoyed most from this class was doing the assignments and trying to find creative ways to create my artwork.

  • What did I not enjoy the most? : The class itself was mostly waiting for the teacher to call our names and go to show our work in order to get feedback. There was a long wait till we had to do that and it felt like the class dragged because of it.

  • What have I learnt about myself through this module? : I learnt that i still have to improve my time management skills and start doing my work earlier.

  • What has changed and what has not in my learning journey? : I have now focused on making sure i follow design principles in my artworks. However, I still have a very similar workflow.

  • What could be improve in this module?: In my personal opinion, I believe that the lectures should be given in person at class or at least in an online meeting.

  Week 5 - 7 Name: Abdullah Yazdan Zahid ID: 0367869 Course: Bachelor of design (Hons) In creative media INSTRUCTIONS Google drive link Task 3 Create a new design based on the previously analysed design while correctly applying the principles of design in your work. Mood board Fig 1.1 references: Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Image 4 Sketches SKETCH 1 Fig 1.2 Fig 1.3 My first sketch was the least similar to the other sketches as I went in a more abstract and simple design. It shows a plastic bottle in the shape of a fish getting caught by a fishing hook represented by a straw. I also limited myself to only two colors for this sketch. SKETCH 2 Fig 1.4 Fig 1.5 For my second sketch I made it more comic style and created a scene were a cartoon fish is sitting in the middle of a trash heap in the bottom of the ocean pleading to save the ocean.
