I took letters from each font and studies how the letters are formed. Research on fonts - Fig 1.1 (11.19.2023) Sketching Markers I used - Fig 1.2 The markers I used for this task are a 509A artline marker, green Stabilo highlighter and an Artline 100 marker. I went through several iterations before I landed on the final one. Fig 1.1 - Blocking out the format (11.12.2023) I ended up using a version from the first sketch as my final composition. Afterwards, I used Adobe illustrator to design the title. I started by using the Bodoni font and writing out the title.   Assignment 1 Editorial Illustration Name: Abdullah Yazdan Zahid ID: 0367869 Course: Bachelor of design (Hons) In creative media INSTRUCTIONS: The urban legend: For the urban legend I decided to pick one from my home country, Maldives called foolhudhigu handi. It roughly translates to long-navelled monster. It’s an old folk story about a creature that people claim to have seen near strange places digging at skulls. As for the appearance of the creature, there are a few interpretations that are commonly drawn. However, it is usually drawn with a large navel and a demonic appearance.
